Propositions for Merton Site-specific drawing
Mary Yacoob documents the minutiae of daily life in diagrammatic form, creating drawings about architectural spaces that question ideas of urban planning and public art through proposals for (often unrealisable) interventions. In a new work she explores both the spatial qualities of Wandle Park and the contested architecture of Colliers Wood’s bridges and tower, mapping out a proposition that is temporarily displayed in the park notice board.
Mary has also created a new work for large-scale poster slots displayed through Merton between 11 to 25 May 2010.
